Why do i see many drivers? Below is a list of drivers that may be suitable for your device. With the different devices, they can have the same driver, it's because they all use the same chip manufacturer. How to select driver? If you are looking for an update, pickup the latest one. If your driver isn't working, use the driver having the same OEM with the your laptop/desktop brand name.

The performance is going to not be great on this old hardware (circa 2003-2004). I haven't touched one of these systems in about 6 years. If I remember correctly this model had the exploding capacitor issue too.
Nuts, I dug deeper into the link and found this 'Windows 7. drivers are not available for the following older Intel® graphics controllers:'. So there is nothing to download. As you know, intel is not publishing vista/7 (video) drivers for the 865G & other older chipsets. So don't be surprised if you have issues (lock-ups, etc.) even if you get SOME drivers to work. That said, You may try here: It's for: A dimension 3000 - It may work. ' Intel 82865G Graphics Controller, v.6., A08 / Graphics driver for systems with Intel 865 based systems' There's a thread here: that discusses 855 chipset drivers, and a user mentions it working on his 856G, but it may be dubious.
Good luck Steven.
